UNO is an Australian online mortgage broker that combines exceptional service with cutting-edge technology to simplify the entire home loan process — from application to ongoing management — saving users both time and money. It’s a powerful tool designed to make mortgage brokers’ lives easier, and we’ve made that tool even more intuitive, streamlined, and user-friendly.
Vincent, the founder of UNO, came to us with a bold and unconventional request — to create the strongest case study in our portfolio by completely redesigning their platform. We were excited from day one! Since Vincent knows his product better than anyone, he became an integral part of our team, making the collaboration deeply involved and hands-on.
The platform’s primary users are mortgage brokers who work with large volumes of data, often across multiple high-resolution screens.
Our responsibility covered a full redesign of the interface: increasing information density and optimizing the information architecture to accelerate data access, improving navigation, expanding data sets, and enhancing the overall user experience.
As always, we developed a unified UNO design system to ensure visual consistency and clarity across the product — helping brokers work faster and more confidently.
Take a look at how the platform evolved — from fragmented navigation and scattered components to a fully structured interface, unified design language, and clearly defined design tokens.

All broker and administrator deals in UNO are now consolidated into a single Pipeline — a clear, Kanban-style board that visualizes every stage of the loan application process, from Research to Settlement and Servicing.
Each application (App) is represented as a card with key information: client names, property address, loan amount, and current status. Quick actions — like creating an account, requesting documents, or updating the status — are available directly on the card, streamlining daily workflows.
With filters by stage, service type, and other parameters, users can instantly find the right deals and efficiently manage their entire pipeline.
The Applicant Management functionality is focused on collecting, updating, and calculating data for potential home loans. All applicant information is grouped into clear, logical sections — Applicant, Current Address, Previous Addresses, Current Employment, Other PAYG Income, and more.
We intentionally reduced interface density: the layout is optimized to present large volumes of information in a way that allows brokers to view key data at a glance, without constantly switching between screens.
The Securities tab consolidates all critical property-related data — Info, Real Estate Assets, Property Details, Property Value, and Valuation — all in one place, well-structured and always accessible.
And of course, Documents. No deal is complete without proper paperwork. We designed an intuitive interface for managing all documents — linking them to specific deals and applicants, tracking document statuses, uploading new files, and interacting with them in a broker-friendly way.
All essential broker tools are always within reach through the fixed Tools tab in the top navigation bar. From there, users can access up-to-date bank offers, calculate loan estimates based on applicant data, send quick email messages, or set reminders — all in just a few clicks, fast and seamlessly.

We reimagined UNO’s information architecture with the specific needs of mortgage brokers in mind — professionals who often work on large, and sometimes multiple, screens simultaneously. The interface is fully adapted to a range of display sizes and offers a clear, structured layout designed for handling high volumes of data.
This provides users with a well-defined visual framework that enables efficient interaction with both the information and the overall UI space.
UNO is a great example of how deep product immersion, close collaboration with the client, and a focus on real user needs can be transformed into a comprehensive solution that significantly improves brokers’ day-to-day workflows.
We restructured the information architecture, streamlined access to data, built an intuitive design system, and delivered an interface that is fast, logical, and adaptable to any screen size.
Even at the release of the very first design version, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the platform’s core users — mortgage brokers — confirming we were heading in the right direction. Together with the UNO team, we’ve continued to evolve the platform, expanding its functionality and enhancing performance with every new iteration.
